Overview
Since joining the firm, Io Yakushiji has been involved in various legal issues in business fields such as construction, medical and nursing care, leasing business, and research and development, as well as formulating new business schemes, which all such fields inspire and motivate her. Furthermore, Ms. Yakushiji has been mainly in charge of dispute cases including negotiations and litigations, and corporate legal matters such as mergers and acquisitions, finance, and corporate bankruptcy proceedings. She also handles general civil affairs such as claims for infringement of statutory reserved shares and divorce settlements as well as criminal cases.
When handling matters related to corporate legal affairs, swift responses and straightforward approaches for the desired results are required in order to keep pace with the specific speed of the client’s business. Therefore, Ms. Yakushiji strives to be able to take a broader perspective and provide prompt and practical responses by deepening a broad range of interests in society as a whole, not just limited to law, in addition to devoting herself to her specialized fields on a daily basis. She believes this provides her with a better perspective for considering each and every case, and enables her to respond promptly and in an easy-to-understand way.
