Latin America
Latin America is a region with major potential for growth, but with political turmoil, plummeting resource prices, and other factors in individual countries, some observers warn of the low predictability of the business environment in those countries. In terms of the law, while the governments of these countries are attempting to attract foreign investment, there are also strong calls for the protection of those countries’ own industries, workers who are seen as vulnerable, and local distributors. Some countries have very unique regulations, and there have been cases in which governments have suddenly imposed extreme restrictions.
