Before joining Kitahama Partners, Haruka Kawabuchi worked in a law office in Fukuoka from her first year as an attorney where she mainly handled general civil matters such as divorces, traffic accidents, inheritance matters, debt settlements, and the like.  In the course of providing various legal consultations to her clients, one particular case concerning a business without a successor made her decide to develop expertise in business succession and corporate-related laws, and with such ambition in mind she joined the firm.

At Kitahama Partners, in addition to working on general civil matters by utilizing her previous experience, Ms. Kawabuchi handles a broad range of matters such as M&A transactions, business successions, business revitalizations, venture company financing, and fraud investigations, without being limited to specific fields.  She also provides legal services such as litigation support and regular legal consultations.  Recently, she has been focusing on civil rehabilitation cases.
