Hidemaro Matsushima handles matters in the field of human resources and labor and employment law and provides prompt legal advice regarding labor due diligence requiring requires extensive knowledge of labor and employment law, handling employee status verification claims and claims for unpaid wages as the employer’s representative, claims for harassment and work-related accidents, and reviewing employment rules and regulations, as well as dismissal and disciplinary actions.  

With respect to mergers and acquisitions, Mr. Matsushima provides the same level of legal services as in Tokyo and Osaka.  In addition to typical share transfer arrangements, he also handles share exchanges between listed companies and has extensive experience in conducting legal due diligence.  Although his work requires speed and precision, Mr. Matsushima enjoys the satisfaction of completing a complex transaction as the result of paying close attention to detail at each step and finds it rewarding to work as an attorney. 

In addition to these cases, Mr. Matsushima has handled a large number of other cases, as well, including lawsuits and negotiations, M&A projects, private liquidations, and business reorganizations, construction and real estate disputes, bankruptcy trustee cases, and IPO support (due diligence on legal compliance systems of companies preparing to go public).
