In the practice areas of insolvency and corporate rehabilitation, Kazuma Aoyama has handled a petition for civil rehabilitation and a business succession case involving a major group company in a particular industry with total liabilities of tens of billions of yen, out-of-court settlements for companies and representatives whose businesses deteriorated due to the COVID-19 pandemic, petitions for the bankruptcy of corporations and individuals, as well as bankruptcy receivership cases, etc. In the field of M&A, Mr. Aoyama has been involved in legal due diligence and contract negotiations on the buyer-side, and has provided listing support, legal advisory services on management buy-outs (MBOs), etc. In addition, he has handled disputes in and out of court (real estate disputes, corporate management disputes, employment and labor disputes, succession disputes, etc.) covering a wide range of fields, negotiations with financial institutions, and advisory consultations for clients spanning many industries.
