Overview

Keiko Horino focuses her practice mainly on finance, business rehabilitation, and mergers and acquisitions. With respect to finance, Ms. Horino advises on various types of structured financing and project financing as well as all kinds of financial regulations (including financial instruments law and banking law), and more recently, on dealing with legal regulations applicable to FinTech. In her business rehabilitation practice, Ms. Horino handles a wide range of matters, including winding-up, legal reconstruction proceedings (civil rehabilitation proceedings and corporate reorganization proceedings), and legal liquidation proceedings (bankruptcy proceedings). Based upon her abundant experience in finance-related legal matters, Ms. Horino addresses business rehabilitation cases not only from the standpoint of the debtor but also from the standpoint of the creditor. Ms. Horino is also an author of books and articles regarding business rehabilitation and teaches the law of trusts to law school students.
