Overview

Nobuoki Toshimitsu’s practice focuses on corporate legal affairs, especially in the field of labor and employment law (employer’s side).  Although Japanese employment law is generally pro-employee, Mr. Toshimitsu takes pride in sharing the joy clients feel when they obtain a favorable result in court.

In recent years, labor laws have been subject to frequent revision, and the Labor Standards Inspection Office has been tightening regulations.  It also has become necessary to respond quickly to new issues that arise as times change, such as dealing with harassment claims, mental health problems, and issues involving foreign workers.  Moreover, in many cases, labor-management problems can become unexpected obstacles in M&A transactions, which have been on the rise in recent years.  Mr. Toshimitsu does his utmost to advise clients to assure their development is not impeded by labor issues.

Mr. Toshimitsu has also passed the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification examination (not yet registered) and is focusing on fraud investigation cases.

In addition, Mr. Toshimitsu handles a wide variety of general civil litigation and negotiation cases, such as divorce, inheritance, and traffic accidents, as well as criminal defense.
