From as early as he can remember, Tomoya Orisaka has always aspired to be person who makes others smile. Coupled with this ambition, the idea that “having the ability to analyze and explain events by applying the law may bring a smile to the faces of people who are in difficult situations or taking on challenges” spurred his curiosity and spoke to his inner essence, which made him pursue a career in law.

Since joining Kitahama Partners, he has handled a wide range of matters both in the fields of general civil law and corporate law, including litigations and negotiations, labor matters, merger and acquisition transactions, fraud investigations, bankruptcy cases, and family court cases. Mr. Orisaka continuously endeavors to hone his skills so that he can handle matters across these various fields with a high level of expertise and confidence, and he makes it a point on a daily basis to thoroughly prepare for and be able to handle new legal challenges as they arise.

Mr. Orisaka has played various sports (team and individual) such as baseball and badminton, and was a track field athlete earlier in his life. Leveraging the communication skills, concentration, and flexibility developed through these experiences, he is fully committed to satisfying the needs of each client through close and careful communication.
