Overview
Since joining the firm, Terumasa Kato has handled a wide range of cases, including mergers and acquisitions involving small, medium and listed companies, bankruptcy and business restructuring, litigations and negotiations, and drafting and reviewing contracts. In particular, Mr. Kato has handled a large number of mergers and acquisitions for small and medium enterprises, and he is experienced in carrying out legal due diligence in various business fields such as construction (civil engineering, sewerage facility construction, pipe construction work, drilling work, ground improvement work, and renovations), manufacturing (food and automobile parts), wholesale (food, steel, medical equipment), retail (food and produce), food and beverages, publishing, advertising, tourism, medical care, livestock and dairy, cleaning, and website creation.
In addition, through his secondment to private companies, Mr. Kato has gained practical real-world experience allowing him to support his clients by resolving the legal issues they encounter when carrying out their businesses as they arise.
Mr. Kato places a great deal of importance on communicating with his clients in the course of his work. He believes it is most important to communicate closely with clients to provide a sense of security and satisfaction, not only for the outcome, but throughout the entire process until the matter is resolved.
