The speakers provided an overview of the risks inherent in M&A intermediary transactions (in particular, issues involving conflicts of interest) drawing on the “M&A Guidelines for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” (published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)) which were revised in March 2020, and an analysis of recent court cases.
