A Lawsuit regarding International Jurisdiction in an International Inheritance Case Involving Shares in a Foreign Company
Kitahama Partners represented the defendant in a civil action concerning the international jurisdiction over foreign assets (shares in a foreign company) of the heirs, and obtained a judgment of denial pursuant to Article 3-9 (Denial Due to Special Circumstances) of the Code of Civil Procedure on the basis that a lawsuit had already been filed and a final judgment had been obtained overseas against the same assets between the same parties.
