Yasumasa Sakamoto is a Partner mainly handling corporate legal affairs. Specifically, Mr. Sakamoto handles general corporate matters (especially enterprises with foreign capital) and compliance (harassment investigation, violations of industry regulations, etc.), as well as overseas advancement/withdrawal, cross-border M&A, and dispute resolution. In recent years, assisting Japanese clients in drafting various contracts in English and other local languages when expanding overseas, or if they get into disputes with companies abroad (including litigation, arbitration, etc. in foreign countries) have been increasing in number. Mr. Sakamoto also regularly assists clients when starting their business overseas or they become involved in legal disputes overseas. In recent years, Mr. Sakamoto has also been handling inheritance matters involving foreign nationals, family law-related matters, and criminal cases.
