Overview

Miyako Ikuta is a Partner of Kitahama Partners, mainly handling cross-border cases. She is admitted to practice law in Japan, as well as in France and the State of New York, and has been dealing with inbound and outbound investment matters, utilizing her practical experience of working in France, Vietnam, and New York. She has extensive experience in M&A transactions, mainly relating to Europe, as well as intellectual property license agreements, corporate transactions, such as distribution agreements, international dispute resolution, such as international arbitration and bankruptcy, and recently, she has been handling global compliance matters, such as those involving the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). She is also very experienced with corporate governance matters, serving as an outside auditor for listed companies.
