Overview
With a focus on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions and dispute resolution (including domestic litigation and international arbitration, mediation and negotiation), Jun Kawanami also assists clients with a wide range of corporate legal matters (corporate law, labor and employment, compliance, sustainability and startup support) as well as general civil cases.
Drawing on his experience studying at Harvard Law School and working at major law firms in Singapore and the Philippines, Mr. Kawanami handles a variety of international commercial transactions, including cases involving the acquisition of businesses and entry into foreign markets, as well as post-entry disputes, by Japanese companies in North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Kawanami’s life’s work is to provide the best legal advice to assist clients, whether big companies or small, in accomplishing their Sustainable Development Goals in any way possible and to help solve society’s biggest issues, as well as with respect to Environmental, Social and Governance goals and particularly “Business and Human Rights.”
Mr. Kawanami listens intently and sincerely to his clients’ needs and strives at all times to provide advice from the client’s perspective.
